Birmingham Children's Trust

It is an exciting time within Fostering for Birmingham Children’s Trust as we have now moved to an Independent Fostering Agency. Our ethos is to provide quality placements for vulnerable children and young people and support for the foster carers that enable them to provide positive outcomes and experiences for children in care.

We are looking for 2 dynamic Senior Practitioners to join the Birmingham Children’s Trust Fostering Agency.

One of the posts will be primarily based within Fostering Support but you should have also have an enthusiasm in working with prospective Foster Carers at all stages of the recruitment and assessment process. The role will be a combination of holding some complex cases as well as supervising staff. You will also deputise for the Team Manager; as and when required.

The second post will be office based leading on the coordination and oversight of internal fostering placements duty working in partnership with the Birmingham Childrens Trust placements team to secure internal fostering placements.

All applicants should have extensive experience of working within Children’s Services and in particular within a Fostering setting.

We would welcome applications from workers within either a Local Authority or Independent Fostering Agency setting who feel that they fulfil the role and have high aspirations for developing the best service for children of Birmingham.
