This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is developing the contextual safeguarding agenda in Birmingham. 

The successful post holder will join an experienced team of co-ordinators within Birmingham Children’s Trust.  They will have a focus on the South of the city and will link in with social work and family support teams in this area.  They will continue to develop links with partners in the region to identify and disrupt the exploitation of children and reduce missing episodes. 

The post holder will provide training to social work and other professional groups around exploitation and missing children. They will work with champions to develop the understanding and response to children abused outside of their families.

The post holder will support the team on a duty basis in the central office – they will attend strategy discussions and provide advice within the MASH environment.
