Birmingham Children’s Trust has great ambitions for our children and families. We are looking for a strong professional who can join our Practice Hub to lead and oversee excellent social work practice, ensuring it is the best it can be.
As Principal Social Worker you will work closely with specific teams and social workers and will be the lead for a number of specialist areas and exciting projects.
You will role model, support and champion best practice across all service areas contributing to the continuous efforts to deliver outstanding evidence-based practice.
Being part of the Practice Hub you will be well supported in your role by the Assistant Director for Practice Improvement and Head of Service for Practice Standards and Quality Assurance. You will work closely with Principal Social Workers, Practice Evaluation, Policy and Procedures and Research Team.
The Practice Hub includes the Trust’s Academy and as Principal Social Worker you will support the Academy with the development and delivery of a number of workshops and seminars and you will play an important role in our induction and retention of all new staff.
A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England are required along with significant experience within social work.
