An exciting opportunity has arisen within Birmingham Children’s Trust. This is a statutory role whose primary purpose is to give effect to the government and professional requirements relating to the teaching, assessment, development and approval of social work practitioners and managers at all levels of the profession, with particular regard to the National Accreditation and Assessment System (NAAS). The role is grant funded by the Department of Education as part of a pilot initiative which is reflected in the fixed term contract.
The NAAS is being introduced to support employers to develop the knowledge and skills of their social workers to enable practice that is more effective, in an ever-changing profession.
As the NAAS Development Lead for Birmingham Children’s Trust your role will be far-reaching as you support and prepare our social workers for the National Assessment and Accreditation System.
The Post holder will be a registered, qualified Social Worker with a minimum of three years’ practice since qualification in Children’s Statutory Social Work.
The post holder will also hold a post qualifying qualification and have a knowledge of national frameworks, policies and factors affecting current and emerging practice education
